Terms of service
Thanks for your interest in commissioning me! Please read my terms of service carefully before you decide to commission me.
I won't draw:
- NSFW / suggestive content, expressions or poses / fetishes / nudity
- ‘Cute’ style characters (kawaii).
- Extremely muscular/buff characters that are on the brink of fetish.
- Art meant for nft/blockchain/crypto related stuff.
- Furry/anthro/too humanized animals anatomy-wise.
- Straining unnatural designs with very bright or conflicting neon colors.
- Robots, machinery, mecha, vehicles, insanely detailed armor/clothes.
- Sensitive, controversial, hateful, offensive themes / character designs (homophobia, racism, incest, bestiality, etc.)
- Extremely gory stuff
- I won’t draw in someone else’s style.
- Characters from copyrighted media or popular franchise.
I will draw:
- Humans
- Feral
- Fantasy creatures (monsters, dragons for example)
- Mild blood/gore
Preferences / love to draw:
- Natural colors
- Nature / natural landscapes
- Canines, felines, dragons or any animal with anatomy similar to those.
- Fantasy creatures of folklore and myth (especially from Japanese/Chinese legends!).
- Ferals, animals & critters in general
- Cool powers & magic / VFX stuff !
- Dark and moody scenes, dramatic landscapes or skies.
Providing references / descriptions:
I might ask you for more details about your character or other details about your desired commission. Such as the scenery, pose, expression, typical behaviour of your character(s). When you respond, please keep it simple (no whole pages of paragraphs!). It will be faster for me to work with just one paragraph about typical expressions or behavior of your character. It helps me figure out a good pose/expression (: Mentioning in what type of world or environment they live, will help me with figuring out a suitable mood/background too if you commissioned me for a larger illustration. It is also important to send at least one finished and non-shaded reference of your character for the commission. The better reference you provide me with, the easier it will be for me to draw your character correctly. Flat colors really are a must! As having to color pick from shaded drawings make it hard for me to get their base colors right. I won’t accept design commissions or character references that are not complete. I also accept a sketch which shows or explains the the composition/pose you have in mind, if you have a very specific wish. That’s completely fine too and even greatly helps me understand what you have in mind!
How you will receive your commission:
You will receive a digital copy of your commission. You’ll get a version with my watermark on it for uploading online, along with a non-watermarked one for private use. The files will be sent in their original resolution in .png format and in RGB color. You can request other file types too, if desired.
Communication
I discuss commissions in English only. If the client fails to clearly communicate about the commission, the commission will be cancelled. I make an exception for Dutch people, as my first language is Dutch. Harassment or inability to communicate in a respectful and mature way will result in cancellation of the commission. If this is the case, I will refund only for the work that remained to be done.
Payment
I accept payment through paypal. I also accept bank transfers from people living in the Netherlands. I only accept payment in euros (€). You can check the exchange rates here: www.xe.com/
When you commission me using paypal, please provide your paypal mail address and wait for me to send a paypal invoice. Do not send the payment before I agree with the commission too. Payment is upfront, I will start your commission once I’ve received the full payment. It is your responsibility to notify me when the payment is sent, because sometimes payment will fail to come through and I won’t know if the payment has been sent. I expect the full payment within 48 hours after I’ve given you the price of your desired commission.

Refunds
- I will not refund a commission which has entered the coloring stage. Please tell me you want to stop the commission as soon as you are sure you want to. Please, be absolutely sure if you really want to commission me to avoid these kind of situations.
- If you want to cancel a commission, I will give a refund for the stages I did not complete. For example, if you have chosen for a full illustration and there’s only a background left to be drawn, I will give a refund for the background. The estimated amount I refund for each stage is:
- Clean lines: 75% refund
- Colouring/shading: 50% refund
- Background: 25% refund
- When I end up being unable to continue your commission (due to illness, other emergencies) I will notify you and a full refund will be given.
- In case of harassment or disrespectful communication, I will cancel the commission and give a refund for the work that remained to be done. Commissions that have entered the coloring stage will not be refunded.
How long does it take for a commission to be completed?
The time taken for a commission varies per type. Each commission is of course a different case. Good to know is that I do not work with deadlines for commissions. As I have a fulltime job, I can only spend around 8 to 16 hours on art each week depending on if I have other private responsibilities to attend to. So it might take a while until I complete your commission (a month or even longer is normal, for bigger illustrations). I sometimes take a break to do personal art too and step a way from larger illustrations for a while to prevent getting to fixated on them. Of course, smaller commissions will take less time than larger ones and I’ll get them done faster. I ask you to please be patient and don’t go asking for updates everyday. I don’t tolerate spamming. If you spam my inbox asking if it is finished, your commission will be at risk of being cancelled / might get you banned from commissioning me in the future. I will let you know if something has severely delayed the completion of your commission (illness, emergencies). No matter what, I will finish each commission, unless I am physically unable to do. In that case, I will set up a refund.
I also work with stages in a commission, I will send work in progress shots inbetween these stages for the client to check if things are as they had in mind. The following stages apply to a full illustration with a background:

Asking for changes/corrections:
I always send a rough sketch for every commission type for you to see if you’re happy with the pose or composition. You can still ask me for major revisions at this point. Such as changing the pose/composition. For the lineart stage, you can ask me for smaller corrections. Not the pose! Only small anatomical details or clothes/accessoiries for example. Once I start coloring you can only ask for correction of details I missed on your character’s design such as markings. If you ask me for changes when the commission is finished, it will cost you quite a bit to have it changed. So please, be sure you notify me about changes as soon as possible and make sure that you communicate your idea clearly with me before I start your commission. I will show work-in-progress shots in between stages of a commission. So you can check if I got your character’s design right.
I work best when I’m given some artistic freedom. Meticulously desciribing every single detail to me will put a strain on me drawing your commission, as there’s too much info to take into account. Some pointers are okay, but please don’t go writing insanely detailed paragraphs of how every leaf, waterdrop, rock, hair has to be placed. If you get what I mean. I will have to turn down such elaborate requests as I’m not the right type of artist to commission for such things.
